The Historic Day Has Come

It will be a day forever remembered. My voting was only a simple act, I went, I identified myself, got my finger stained, filled out a ballot, and dropped it in a box. It is not a complex or grand process to the eye, but it is one that I will forever remember and will recount to my children, and their children. And God willing it will be remembered through the ages.

A Free Writer - Healing our souls

Yesterday , I received an email from an english lady , encouraging me as an iraqi about the election for which i am very grateful.

The entire world is more concerned of the Iraqi elections than the wounded Iraqi nation.

People in Iraq are busy with their lives details trying their best to solve their problems of security, fuel shortage and electricity.

In addition to the daily horror of the bombed cars, explosions, kidnapping, death and destruction. Beyond all these, Arabic media stations are trying only to show that Iraqis are suffering from occupation only, without any mention to the terrorist gangs that are spoiling their life by killing people randomly.

What I really care about , is the long suffering of the poor citizens in Iraq will be ended one day, and to start building again our country , leaving behind us all miserable and bad memories.
