PowerLine has an incredible picture of a man voting in Michigan, in tears because his son, who died in the 1990-91 Shiite uprising, couldn’t vote with him. There was a remarkable woman on the news today, voting in, I think, LA, hobbling along the polling place on a cane, with a middle aged relative, a brother perhaps, not, I don’t think, her husband, translating for her. And she was ranting on about God blessing Bush and the Americans for letting her people vote, and then the reporter explains that she had been tortured by Saddam when she was six months pregnant. And yet she hasn’t appeared in any other news story.
