Amen, Sister.
Everyone keeps telling me that the Anchoress has moved. I don’t usually read her (not enough time in the day for you all, my lovelies) but given recent events, I decided I’d mosey on over.
And this is what I found:
The Anchoress - Why wasn’t JPII put into the ground in a simple shroud
All very interesting. Has anyone else noticed how fascinating it is everytime someone takes the time to explain to you why things are done in an ancient religion? Ahem, Catholic Schools in America.
Then I came to this, at this end:
PS…speaking only for myself, that funeral today made me long to hear more (or, ANY) Gregorian Chant at mass. I really hunger for it. Enough of the feel-good campfire-type songs, please!
Okay, that’s two of us. What are the chances the directors of church youth groups (mostly doing the entertainment part of mass) will cut their 60s ponytail, put down their guitar, and return to the sort of music proven to rouse and inspire people?
If anyone wants my dissertation on art history and modern art, just ask.
