So I had a spare ten minutes to watch the video of the Media Watch attack on Chrenkoff and Janet Albrechtsen. The first segment was fine, she was very polite, I guess, distant, perhaps, if wrong. I was calm enough to admire her hair. But then the second segment loads up: “Wall Street journalism or blog?” and the b*tch goes all snooty and sarcastic. Sarcastic! I can’t believe she delivered it in that tone of voice! And the sneer on her face! A real honest-to-god sneer! At least Dan Rather et al managed to keep their faces blank. I can’t believe it!

And what is up with the pacing of that show. Are all ABC programs like that? “Arthur…is…not…paid…by…the…Wall…Street…Journal…or…the…Dow…Jones…website… OpinionJournal.com…which…publishes…his…blog…without…editing.” God it was painful to sit through. And then she uses the whole thing as an excuse to reread the letter from that journalist in Baghdad whining to her friends how horrible it is to live in a warzone.

And yet all the stuff I’ve read about this, on both Tim Blair and Chrenkoff, has all been about other stuff. I don’t think Australians even notice anymore. Good god! Especially when Tim Blair gets letters like this:

Media Watch did not launch an attack on Arthur Chrenkoff. I spoke to Arthur at length before the story and have always made it clear that I think his “Good News” project is admirable. Arthur clearly does a lot of hard work to compile his blog.

Yeah? Bull-honky. Watch the video, idiot.

And then there’s all the factual stuff she got dead. freaking. wrong. as she was being snide, sarcastic, and sneering.
