Times Online - US woman hostage freed in Iraq

Jill Carroll, an American freelance reporter, was freed today almost 12 weeks after being abducted at gunpoint on a Baghdad street but said that she still had no idea why she was kidnapped or by whom.

Just says “was freed”. Can’t tell if they just showed her the door, called someone to come and get her, or slowed the car to 30 and pushed her out. The CBS radio news man this morning said it was some “rare good news from out of Iraq.” And here I thought they weren’t covering the good news because they were “over-stretched”.
