Times Online - Picture of the day: removing a Zimbabwean town
Amnesty International today released a satellite photograph of a shanty town in Zimbabwe that was destroyed during President Robert Mugabe’s Operation Murambatsvina (Drive Out Rubbish) last summer.
Amazing. Amnesty International has the time to take away from its important work telling us we’re tantamount-to-torturing at Guantanamo to distribute pictures of the removal of 10,000 poor and desperate people’s homes.

You know Amnesty’s about to declare that women have a universal human right to abortion? Which is a bit rich considering it was founded by a Catholic. See: http://www.spectator.co.uk/the-magazine/features/22373/amnesty-could-kill-itself.thtml

I read an article years ago about how the UN’s aid group or women’s group or whatever is so keen on Women’s Rights which basically means abortion rights that they wouldn’t give any aid, or not much of it, to a country that didn’t take a very pro-abortion stance. In traditionalist Africa. So it was causing all sorts of problems especially for women that might like enough calories in their diets that they can do small things like breast feed their infants, and maybe aren’t really all that immediately concerned with a woman’s right to choose.
