Okay, as announced by RC2, Jonathan Sandys called up the Rush Limbaugh show today, to say a lot of really nice things in a completely artless way about George W Bush.
Rush Limbaugh - It’s Winston Churchill’s Great-Grandson!
Now, I wonder if anyone at the White House heard that and will either tell Bush or play it for him. If so, it must be quite incredible for him. Maybe he’ll get to work in the morning feeling a bit more kick-ass than he has recently.

Nin, did you happen to be listening to Rush just now when Jonathan Sands (Churchill’s great-grandson) called in absolutely livid about Buckley’s comments and saying Bush is the true heir to Churchill? I’m sure Rush’ll have it up later –give it a listen.

Ahem. Sandys. It’s only pronounced “sands.” Also, first name possibly “Duncan,” based on a google search. Could swear I heard “Jonathan” however.

No I actually missed it?! Damn! I heard him (right after I saved this post actually) bring the topic up, but then I turned the radio off. Bugger. I’ll check the page later, though.
But all these “true conservatives” are really cheesing me off. They’re like ex-smokers, in that way. They go around fighting all sorts of wars in their day but then when it’s our turn they run around saying how useless it all is and we shouldn’t be doing it. Just like smoking, it makes me want to go invade somewhere.
