Telegraph - Sectarianism in Labour’s rotten burghs. By Alan Cochrane
Very interesting. I won’t bother quoting any of it, but to give you an idea what it’s about, if you’re interested:
Devolution was supposed to finish the Nationalists. It hasn’t. But it may just end up finishing Labour.

Do you need a Scotland political correspondent? There are some good stories on occasion. And some things to make one weep.

Oh, and do you want me to tell Cochrane of the honour that’s befallen him the next time I see him early next month? It’s not everyone gets posted by ninme, after all. He’s sharing the spotlight with M Steyn and A Downer, which can’t be bad for a hack with a beard. And glasses.

I’ve been registered as the Grumpy Old Man Correspondent - Australian Division (”The View from Down Under”). There would have to be a Scottish Division.

There are more Grumpy Old Men in Scotland than one might expect. It’s a key (and growing) demographic.

Because Scotland is aging! They NEED me!
Sure, sure. If you know him, by all means pass me around. And yeah, Brett’s my Grumpy Old Man’s View From Down Under, so you can be the Scottish Correspondent.
I got a comment once from a Times columnist who was insulted that I was using his point to support my own, because he didn’t know me and didn’t know what I meant, but apparently they check sometimes. I freaked out and didn’t respond, not that he’d have been back anyway. Maybe they can tell tales about me at the Christmas Party.

Orangemen? Is Syracuse playing too die?
Seriously tho, Syracuse Orangemen? Isnt that kinda insensitive? When was the last time Syracuse played the Notre Dame Fightin Irish?

Yeah, well. Just slightly.
