Mrs Irwin spoke of how proud she was that daughter Bindi was able to write her tribute to her daddy herself and speak at the memorial.

“She was so meticulous, she spoke them into the dictaphone first, and then wrote them down, and I had to help her put them on the computer, and then she had to make the letters bigger, because she didn’t want to make a mistake,” she said.

“Then she had trouble reading it, and I said ‘what’s the problem?’, and she said, ‘Miss Emma, my teacher, doesn’t let me read with my finger’, and I said she could read with her finger, so she did.”
