Don’t feel too dirty in linking to MSNBC. I was listening to an Insta-Interview with Michael Yon, and he mentioned that the only MSM outlet that did the right thing by him straight away (before lawsuit threats) during the photo scandal (his famous picture of the soldier and child used without permission) was MSNBC.
There’s just a few more hours,
that’s all the time I’ve got,
A few more hours
until they ties the knot.
Ima meet the hangman ‘n the mornin,
Drugged up and feeling just like slime,
Kofi come and kiss me!
Tell ‘em how you’ll miss me!
But for gawds sakes get me loose in time!
I don’t want to be there ‘n the morning,
Hell no it’s just not my time!
Call out the Army,
I know I’m sounding smary,
But for gawds sake let me loose in time.
Nice one, Half. You think that “make me a martyr” thing is a bit of bravado, a bit of the old brer rabbitt “don’t throw me in the briar patch”? Me too.
Yeah, playin’ for the ol’ “It’s not that we’re too p-ssy to off the guy (what is WITH my language this week?!), we just don’t wanna make him a martyr” crowd.
“I have often stood on these floor before.
But the trapdoor always stayed beneath my feet before.
All at once am I just a bit too high
And I hope that that rope’s got some give.
Are there lilac trees in the heart of town?
Though it’s less than likely I’ll be in that part of town
Once I take that drop, there’s nothing to stop…
Oh I hope that that rope’s got some give.
But oh, that wonderful feeling, to know that my deathly hush
Will be broken by WaPo revealing
That, as a martyr, I’m still smarter than George Bush.
Are there funny jokes for this kind of fix?
Or are Sunni folks now fated just to take their licks?
There’s the camera! Hi! I’ll just wave good-bye!
Oh I hope that that rope’s got some give!”

Oh, goody. It’s been far too long since we had a musical around here. Over to you, Red.

Mall Fair Lady, It’s about a young lady who is picked up in a Wal-Mart by a retail-expert and taught to pass at a Saks.

Get me to the Church on time?

Sorry, line 1 should be “on this floor before”.
