So, I’m Beginning to Wonder
I shan’t link to anyone but after running into the gazillionth “Oh but” I’m beginning to feel a bit lonely in this:
Am I, actually, the only girl on earth who thinks Leonardo DiCaprio is a small-faced little dweeby boy? And a bit pudgy besides?

I hear he’s good hearted tho.

Wasn’t it him on the cover of Lisa Simpson’s “Non-threatening Boys” magazine?

I’m with ya, girl.

Oh good. Reinforcements.
I can kind of understand his charm when he was Titanic-age and younger, if you’re the kind of woman who likes younger men. Students, for instance. But now? He ain’t aging well, people.
And yeah I think he was. You know who he is? He’s the first Orlando Bloom. Or Orlando Bloom is the new Leo DiCaprio. Or would be if anyone would notice that Leo isn’t good looking anymore. But at least Orlando Bloom has a mouth and, you know, bones in his face. Cheekbones, for instance. And a chin.

Orlando Bloom’s another one! Both their faces fairly shout, “callow, uninteresting fellow.” It’s that there’s nothing at all to be seen behind the eyes.
I actually think Leo’s improved some since his Sex On A Boat days –looks like a grown-up, at least.

“Sex on a Boat” Wonder what Bubblehead thinks of that?
Completely off-thread, but I’ve just this morning found out that my Buckeye nephew, who doesn’t look a bit like Leo DeC but who is a Fulbright scholar and Phi Beta Kappa, has been awarded a five-year fellowship by NYU while he does his PhD in some form of historical subject. As I say, it’s absolutely a propos of nothing at all, but he does seem to bring out the Jewish mother in me, even though I’m neither Jewish nor female.

There’s a little Jewish mother in us all, Red.
Well done him! I suppose it’s added Jewish-motherness that you’re not entirely sure what he’s doing there?
I think on his Sex on a Boat days he was at least thin enough and young enough to get away with being dreamy for a younger set (and a sexually deviant older set) but now, if he was anyone else he’d be nothing more than a character actor like Peter Lorre, who, btw, I think he has a good chance of looking like in a few years.
