My Cousin Rashid
(They’re coming from Florida, not New York, and got caught in South Carolina, not Georgia, CAIR’s telling us they’re a bunch of naive kids, not that they really are, and it’s real life, not a totally awesome Joe Pesci movie, but all that notwithstanding, it’s a hilarious similarity, eh?)
LGF - Florida Muslim Students Indicted
(Seriously it’s the first thing I thought of, that movie, when I heard this story yesterday or whenever.)

Well, that was Fred Gwynne’s last role - he died the year after.
PS. Your google adverts aren’t cutting it: “How to Convert to Islam”? The mouse cursor shot to the other side of the screen when it came near that one.

Fred Gwynne was huge in that. A damn fine and seriously under-rated actor.

Never mind what they’re doing, you just keep clicking. Shoot now someone from the un-evil corporation will come over and shout at me.
He was great in that. And apparently impressed a lot of people who didn’t think he’d be that good. And he didn’t look at all like he’d be dead soon. But well, how many people watch the Munsters but everyone watches My Cousin Vinny.

Purdy good with his olde pal from the Munsters in Car 54 too.
He also did a lot of voice work for NPR when they were trying to crank up radio-drama back in the late ’70s.

Yeah well that isn’t exactly hep to the kids either.
