Four Million Buckeroonies
So, the winning bid for Rush’s letter from Harry Reid et al went for $2,100,100.00, which Rush is matching, going to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, upon whose board he is a member. I was going to put this as my Funniest Item of the Day on Sunday, then maybe Monday, but I wasn’t really in the mood for Funniest Items. I find it interesting that, other than a few blogs, the only mention I’ve seen of it has been on Drudge, linking directly to the eBay page. Which tells me that there’s been no news stories written on it. Unlike the stories written about the “Phony Soldiers” phrase.
At any rate, I’m making some salads for tonight and listening to the radio and he just said that in the final few minutes he and his staff were trying to check the bids on three separate computers and got a “server down” message of some sort.
So, yes, they broke eBay.

I don’t know if there is such a thing as a Museum of Political Folly (though there should be), but this would be an excellent exhibit piece.

Wow, what a concept. Gotta be located in downtown Montgomery Alabama, with maybe a satellite in Richmond.
This is make me think hard.
