One Thousand Ninety-Fifth Consecutive Day
Honestly, I almost forgot again.
So:
ninme has officially existed for three whole years. To celebrate again, some stats (I used to put last year’s in brackets but honestly, I can’t remember how I added the first set up, so to avoid confusion I’m ditching those):

My visits numbers and things seem to have gone down slightly (assuming I’ve somehow managed to add everything up right both last year and this), but my views per visitor and things seem to have gone up quite a bit. So I guess this past year I’ve scared off all the casual readers? My bandwidth is way down, but I think that’s because Peter did some rather cruel things to the spiders and bots. Whether that had anything to do with the other numbers, I dunno. I wouldn’t have thought so, but I’m not really sure how good awstats is as telling them apart.
So, thanks to all for another happy return, and hopefully you’ll all happily return as well. (Of course, this will be my first election year… There is that chance my head will explode and take the blog with it…)

Q: So, ninme, do you like to blog?
A: Why, yes, but I want to stress that it DOES NOT RULE MY LIFE!

I do love you. I also use you as my portal to certain other sites. That way when they analyze their traffic, you get the “credit.” Just doing my part to launch you into the glorious career in which you pretend you never knew me.
Perhaps this is the moment to report something I find a little disturbing in my own stats. Usually I don’t follow them, but if I suddenly start getting comments from newbies, I go and see where they came from. Usually the keywords searches vary by the hot topic du jour (plus a base line of “wheat and weeds” searches). But there is someone who searches on a regular basis for “elderporn” and comes up with a post of yours that linked to one of mine. They were good posts…but not that good. It’s…odd.

Considering that there are a billion extra blogs in the world since last year, that’s not bad going. Quality (in all senses) is the attraction, although a bit more elderporn wouldn’t hurt.
