Seattle On the Radio!
Somebody just called the radio station to say that freedom is the ability to choose between doing good and doing something foolish, and choosing to do something good. Freedom isn’t choosing to do something foolish. That’s not freedom, it’s foolishness.
So basically freedom is doing the right thing (what is right being determined by the caller, presumably).
In other Washington news: Apparently we have the third biggest gambling commission (not including the horse racing stuff) in the country. After Nevada and New Jersey. Which have legalized gambling.

That sounds like the type of argument an Evangelical Christian might come up with (where God is the arbiter). It illustrates what Dennis Prager often says about leftism being a religion.

Yeah. The radio host he was calling is a libertarian, and you should have heard the sputtering. They went back and forth on it over and over again, but I wasn’t really paying attention by that point because I was over here blogging on it.
