Happy Christmas!
My parents are arriving tomorrow to whisk me off to Canada until the end of the month, and Sunday Peter is being whisked as far as Chicago by the combined efforts of public transport and United Airlines, there to be stranded by weather and airline perfidy probably at least until boxing day. But whether or not he makes it to PHL, we’ll be in separate countries come the 25th, so we’re celebrating Christmas today. Presents!
I thought it might be cute if today fell on some sort of appropriate feast day, the way RC2’s family open their presents on the feast of Saint Nick, but when I looked it up, today is “Feria”. So, so much for that. (The Irish came closer, bless them, with St Flannan on the 18th and St Fachanan on the 20th.)

Enjoy Christmas up North while you can, because Hugh Hewitt’s recommending a boycott of Canada for taking the nuisance suit against Mark Steyn seriously.

Make sure you check if the stores accept American quarters.

Happy Christmas to you, ninme and to Peter! Enjoy your trip to one of HMQ’s dominions (if it still is).
And, while I think of it, happy Christmas too to all the ninmates who’ve given me so much fun this year, not to mention being educational with it. You’re a, er, distinctive bunch and that’s for sure!

Well, I plan on getting there and buying up as many copies of his book as I can afford. Who wants one, eh? eh?
At any rate, thank you all, and I promise to keep your identities a secret if I’m arrested up there for violating the Human Rights of atheists and animists by wishing you all a happy Christmas. And if Hugh Hewitt can get the Canadian dollar back to where it’s supposed to be, well, just hit me with a turkey and call me Tiny Tim.
