		<description>&lt;p&gt;I used to attend Mass years ago at a place which had 17th century vestments made of cloth-of-gold (with an enormous emerald inset in the back) and music by Palestrina. Last time I was there it was white polyester with some liturgical animal motif - dove? donkey? polecat? - and "music" from guitars. Somehow it just didn't seem serious any more.&lt;/p&gt;
