Protest Army
Home-bound China-business-traveller Brett McS is going to try to swing past the Terracotta Army in between flights today.

Unfortunately, those are the ones at the BM:
Times Online - Tibet protesters target Terracotta Army exhibition at British Museum
The British Museum’s exhibition of China’s Terracotta Army was today targeted by pro-Tibetan protesters who hung placards with slogans around two of the statues’ necks.
Martin Wyness, 50, and Mark Trepte, 47, said they put placards on the warriors, saying “Stop Killing Tibetans” and “Boycott the Chinese Olympics.”
The protesters, from Hereford, claimed that onlookers clapped as they mounted the demonstration over the violent crackdown by the Chinese authorities in Tibet.
It is the second time in 24 hours that the impact of the Lhasa violence has been felt in the UK, with pro-Tibetan demonstrators yesterday storming the Chinese Embassy , charging past police lines and hurling sticks, stones and bottles.
I’m glad they’re capable at aiming their aggression at someone other than priceless works of art. Someone more immediately relevant to the killings they’re protesting.
And I love that onlookers were clapping.
Brett? Don’t try this at home.

These Terracotta Army figures don’t look very happy. My theory is that they’re missing a Chinese-style toilet, them being in London and all.

Could be. The ones still in China look happier.
Fun fact: Given the choice, Chinese women use western style toilets.
