The Times - Ken Livingstone’s Record
The first in our series assessing the mayoral candidates

Between now and the election on May 1, The Times will be assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each of the main candidates vying to be Mayor of London. We will then endorse one. Ken Livingstone, as the incumbent, will be running against his record as much as against his rivals. So what does he have to show for eight years in office?

Blah, blah, congestion charge, Transport for London, bendy buses, and then:

On crime, the mayor has surprised his critics by being conservative. He has backed Sir Ian Blair, the head of the Metropolitan Police, and has paid for more officers, especially for neighbourhood policing.
